Governor Abba Yusuf returned to Kano on Saturday after attending the All Progressives Congress (APC) zonal and national conventions in Kaduna and Abuja. He was met by a large crowd of supporters who escorted him from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to the Government House. Addressing the gathering, Yusuf dismissed the political relevance of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), mocking their "Falle Daya" (One Term) campaign. "Any ADC member saying 'Falle Daya'—that we will serve only one term—tell them they will not even smell the seat of power, let alone serve a single term," he said to loud cheers.

Yusuf praised improved ties between Kano and the federal government, noting that the state now receives support that was previously absent. He expressed confidence in the APC's dominance ahead of the 2027 elections, predicting a clean sweep from the presidency to the State House of Assembly. The governor urged eligible voters to revalidate their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and called on local APC leaders to assist with voter registration. He credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with tangible progress in infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, and social welfare, declaring full support for his re-election. "We in Kano State are fully behind Mr President and we will support his re-election come 2027, by the Grace of Allah (SWT)," Yusuf said.

Abba Yusuf's theatrical dismissal of the ADC reveals more about his party's anxiety than the opposition's threat. With no ADC governorship or senate seat in Nigeria, his outburst underscores how much APC leaders rely on spectacle over substance. The real test isn't ADC's reach—it's whether voters in Kano will still believe in Tinubu's "evidence-based" economic impact by 2027.
