Popular gospel artists Timi Dakolo and Nosa Omoregie headlined the second edition of "Jesus + Nothing" Worship, held at The LOGIC Centre in Lekki, Lagos, on Good Friday. The event, organised by The LOGIC Church, began at 4:00 p.m. and featured a lineup of ministers including Emmanuel Smith, Gerald Bishung, MagPsalms, Mera Owili, Steve Hills, Pastor Victor Paul, Uche Okereke and Yinka Erinle. Church organisers described the gathering as more than a concert — a spiritually curated experience centred on the message of Jesus Christ's finished work. The 2026 edition followed the inaugural event in 2025 and aligned with the church's annual theme, "Much More," emphasising grace over performance. Lead pastor Flourish Peters stated that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the "zenith" of the Christian faith, calling it "the biggest" event in Christianity. He stressed that salvation comes through grace, not human effort, quoting: "We don't have to perform to be loved because we are already accepted to be loved." The event was live-streamed on the church's official YouTube channel. A relief outreach is scheduled for 12 April, targeting both church members and non-members. Pastor Peters also urged civic participation, linking faith to national development.
Flourish Peters positioning the resurrection as Christianity's "biggest" moment reframes Easter in bold theological terms, but equating spiritual growth with event scale risks conflating faith with spectacle. His call for civic engagement is pointed, especially urging voter registration, yet framing national change through individual responsibility alone downplays systemic failures. When a pastor says charity begins at home, it may comfort the congregation — but for Nigerians outside that circle, the impact remains confined.
