The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) has begun a teacher recruitment exercise for rural primary schools in the state. Applications opened on 30 March 2026 and will close on 7 April 2026. The recruitment targets qualified candidates with NCE, B.Sc Ed, or B.A Ed qualifications who are also certified by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

Applicants must indicate a primary school near their home village during the application process, emphasizing local community ties. Applications must be submitted via the official NSUBEB recruitment portal. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.

💡 NaijaBuzz Take

NSUBEB's focus on local connections means teachers from rural areas may have a better chance of placement, potentially improving teacher retention in underserved schools. This could lead to more stable learning environments for pupils in those communities.
