Federal University of Technology, Ilaro will hold its 23rd Convocation Ceremony from 10 to 15 April 2026 for ND and HND graduating students of the 2024/2025 academic session. The event will begin with the unveiling of the convocation mascot on Friday, 10 April at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Jumat service at the Polytechnic Mosque at noon. A funfair and staff-student football match are scheduled for Saturday, 11 April, while a church service will take place on Sunday, 12 April at the Christian Union Cathedral. Monday, 13 April features an exhibition at the Multipurpose Hall and a media chat with the Acting Vice Chancellor/Rector at the Mass Communication Studio. Alumni Day activities, including an alumni walk and dinner, will be held on Tuesday, 14 April. The convocation and fellowship award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 15 April at 9:00 a.m. at the Graduation Pavilion. The convocation lecture, titled "Digital Literacy: Fundamental Skills and Job Creation Tools for Graduands in the 21st Century," will be delivered by Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Executive Governor of Katsina State. Gown collection starts on 8 April 2026 via the school portal. HND graduands must attend the ceremony or pay a non-attendance fee of N10,000. Late return of gowns attracts a penalty of N1,000 per day.
