Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has confirmed a tragic incident in Jos North Local Government Area.

On Sunday evening, gunmen stormed the Angwan Rukuba community, unleashing a deadly attack that claimed 28 lives. The attack occurred at approximately 7:30 pm, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Governor Mutfwang announced the grim toll during a statewide broadcast on Tuesday, addressing the people of Plateau State. He also declared a curfew in response to the violence.

The curfew is aimed at restoring peace and order to the affected area, with Governor Mutfwang urging residents to remain indoors.
