The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed claims that its Interim National Chairman, David Mark, has resigned from his position. The party termed the reports "an insidious fabrication" and accused unnamed individuals of spreading falsehoods to create confusion. A statement issued by the National Chairman's Media Office described the alleged resignations as existing only in the "warped imagination" of "puerile, weak and inconsiderate propagandists." It affirmed that Senator David Mark remains the substantive National Chairman with no discussion or plan regarding his exit. The ADC insisted its leadership is united and focused on strengthening democratic governance. The party linked the rumours to fears about its growing influence and the shifting political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections. It reaffirmed its commitment to Nigeria's multi-party system and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.
