Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, has assured Nigerians that the current wave of insecurity will soon come to an end. He made the statement during an Easter message delivered at the Ikot Ekpene Field Major Convention of The Apostolic Church in Ikot Obong Edong, Akwa Ibom State. Akpabio acknowledged the widespread grief caused by violence, citing losses in homes, places of worship, markets, farms and workplaces. "To such families, please know that your pain is shared by the entire nation," he said, adding that the country mourns and prays with them. The senator linked the Easter message of resurrection to national hope, stating, "I firmly believe that soon Nigeria's story will also reach its full and victorious conclusion: 'Nigeria defeats insecurity, evil and fear'." He urged Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion and faith during the Easter season.
