He said such prayers have brought divine intervention in other nations facing socio-economic and religious crises. Abbas highlighted Easter as a symbol of sacrifice, love, and obedience, virtues he said Nigerians must adopt for peace and progress. He welcomed the convergence of Ramadan and Lent in 2026, calling it "a divine arrangement to foster unity of purpose among Muslims and Christians in Nigeria and beyond."
Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu also issued an Easter message, urging Nigerians to embrace hope, unity, and shared humanity during the season.
