Olanrewaju Badmus, the coalition's spokesman, said the people of the constituency no longer support his continued representation. They urged political parties to consider younger, more dynamic candidates ahead of the election cycle. Elliot, a former actor turned politician, has served in the Assembly since 2015 and previously held the position of Speaker.
