Chief Abia Onyike, former Deputy National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has announced his bid for the House of Representatives seat representing Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State. Onyike, who previously served as Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information, stated his motivation stems from a desire to contribute to the development of the constituency. "I wish to seize this opportunity to inform our people at home and in the diaspora about my intention to vie for the slot of the House of Representatives for Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency," Onyike said.
