Security forces in Edo State have successfully rescued two kidnapped females in Auchi. The rescued victims are Odio Momoh, 17, and Sonia Momoh, 23.

The rescue operation was carried out by a joint team of security personnel from the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Benin City, the Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Police Force, and local vigilantes.

The troops received a distress call on March 27, stating that two females had been kidnapped by gunmen. In response, they immediately mobilised for a bush-combing operation to rescue the victims and apprehend the suspects. The suspects fled after noticing they were being encircled, allowing the victims to be rescued and reunited with their families.
