He hosted ten PDP gubernatorial hopefuls and other party stakeholders in Benue, assuring them that internal party crises had been resolved. Ortom confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recognised and uploaded the results of the party's National Convention on its official portal. He announced Dr James Anbua as the newly elected PDP Zonal Chairman for the North Central Zone. Ortom revealed he would not be contesting any position in 2027, choosing instead to support aspirants. He called on them to return to their constituencies and drive mass participation in the ongoing PDP e-registration and INEC voter revalidation exercises. Benue State PDP Chairman Rt Hon Ezekiel Adaji also urged aspirants to remain united and mobilise communities to vote out the APC government in 2027, promising a fair process.
