Supporters of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke have officially thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the 2027 general elections. The group, known as the Faleke Support Forum, announced the decision at a meeting in Abuja on April 17, 2025. During the gathering, the forum formally dissolved its structure and merged all operations into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Forum spokesman Hon. Suleiman Babachir confirmed the development, stating, "We have unanimously resolved to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo." He added that the group's full strength would now be deployed to ensure APC's success in Kogi State and nationally. The forum cited party unity and national progress as key reasons for the decision.
Faleke, a former deputy governorship candidate in Kogi State and prominent APC figure, did not attend the event but has since acknowledged the group's decision. No statement indicating his personal political ambitions for 2027 was issued.
The swift alignment of Faleke's supporters with Tinubu and Ododo suggests internal party calculations are already shaping the 2027 landscape. With Faleke himself remaining silent on personal plans, the move may signal diminishing prospects for his gubernatorial return. This consolidation strengthens APC's position in Kogi but narrows the path for other aspirants within the party.
