The Nigerian Ports Authority is set to embark on a nationwide port modernisation project.

The project, which will cover all ports across the country, is expected to commence in Lagos with a substantial investment of $700 million. According to Dr Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of NPA, the project's initial phase will be implemented in Lagos.

The modernisation project aims to improve the efficiency and functionality of Nigeria's ports. Dr Dantsoho made this announcement during an interactive session with maritime journalists in Lagos on Tuesday.
