NATO has intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched from Iran that entered Turkish airspace on Monday, marking the fourth such incident. The missile was neutralised by NATO's air and missile defence system deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean. Turkish authorities confirmed the missile's origin, with the Defence Ministry stating that a ballistic munition launched from Iran had been stopped. The ministry pledged to protect Turkish airspace and territory, taking all necessary measures against any threats. This incident is the fourth time NATO has intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile heading towards Turkey since the conflict began.

Allison Hart, NATO Spokesperson, confirmed the successful interception, stating that the alliance will continue to defend its member states. Iran has denied launching missiles towards Turkey, despite four reported NATO interceptions. The Turkish Defence Ministry has vowed to take action to protect the country's territory and airspace, saying all necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation.
