President Tinubu has condemned the brutal attacks in Jos, Plateau State and Kahir village, Kaduna State, where gunmen killed and abducted wedding guests. The President made this known in a statement on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Tinubu described the attacks as an affront to Nigeria's values, saying that anyone who kills defenceless citizens under the cover of night is a heartless coward. He directed security agencies to intensify efforts to pursue the perpetrators and those spreading misinformation that can inflame tensions.

The President cautioned some sections of the media, insinuating that the attacks were religiously motivated. However, he reaffirmed that security agencies are actively addressing the situation and stressed the need for public cooperation to maintain peace and protect lives and property.

President Tinubu commended the efforts of Governors Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and Uba Sani of Kaduna State in containing the situation. He assured the people and governments of the two states of his support and commiserated with the families of those killed.
