Barry warned that the church is increasingly conforming to worldly patterns rather than maintaining its distinct spiritual identity. He emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to Christian belief, offering believers power over sin and death. "The resurrection of Jesus Christ is profound to our faith as Christians. Christ's resurrection proves that God has accepted Christ's death as a full payment for our sins because we were all doomed before this," Barry said. He encouraged believers to find hope in the resurrection, even amid personal or national challenges. The cleric also prayed for peace in Nigeria, specifically calling for an end to the Jos Killings.
