Abia APC Accuses Governor Otti of Deploying Proxies to Support Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has launched a scathing attack on Governor Alex Otti, accusing him of using proxies to convey support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election. The party's Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, made the allegation in a statement on Monday, in response to a report that a Labour Party member of the House of Representatives, Ginger Oneusibe, claimed Governor Otti would deliver votes for Tinubu's victory in 2027.
The APC chieftain described the situation as a desperate political survival tactic, citing Governor Otti's low chances of re-election as less than 30 per cent. Aguoru boasted that the APC has the capacity to deliver up to 90 per cent of votes for the President in Abia State.
