Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has been working tirelessly to transform the state's infrastructure. Despite facing public skepticism fueled by social media critics, the Governor remains committed to his developmental agenda. He has prioritized projects across the three senatorial districts to showcase his administration's growth-oriented policies.
Governor Abiodun recently commissioned Phase II of the 21-kilometre Imashayi–Igan-Okoto–Ayetoro Road in Yewa North Local Government Area. The road project is part of the Governor's efforts to link farming communities with major towns, facilitating the movement of produce to markets. The Governor emphasized the strategic importance of this project, describing Yewa North as one of the state's "food baskets."
The Governor also directed the Ministry of Housing to inspect and commence the renovation of the Youth Development Centre in the community. He acknowledged that no administration can reconstruct every road across the state simultaneously, but his government would continue to deliver infrastructure equitably until the end of his tenure.
Abiodun commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his economic reforms and the ongoing construction of the 1,000-kilometre Badagry–Sokoto Highway. He noted that Ogun State has become the investors' destination of choice and the fastest-growing economy in Nigeria.
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, explained that Phase II of the Imashayi–Ayetoro project includes reinforced concrete structures in flood-prone areas to prevent erosion. Local leaders expressed profound appreciation for the Governor's fulfillment of his promises.
The Governor also commissioned the 5.2-kilometre Iworo–Ogbogbo–Igbeba Road in Ijebu North East. He pledged to construct two additional roads in the council area before the end of the year, including the priority Central Mosque–Ilese to Benin–Sagamu Expressway.
The Governor's infrastructure projects are a clear indication of his administration's commitment to growth and development.
