The All Progressives Congress (APC) has directed its state and zonal coordinators to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election. The directive was issued by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo at a meeting of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors network in Abuja. The meeting, which took place on Saturday, brought together party officials, coordinators, and stakeholders to review mobilisation strategies and align communication efforts with the administration's policy direction.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors network was created to promote President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda at the grassroots level through a unified mobilisation framework. Governor Uzodimma explained that the initiative aims to bridge the information gap between government and citizens, particularly in rural and underserved communities. He noted that the network seeks to create national awareness and help citizens understand the reasons for the President's reforms and their benefits.
Governor Uzodimma urged coordinators to clearly communicate government policies to Nigerians to prevent misinformation and misinterpretation of ongoing reforms. He stressed that effective engagement would build public trust and ensure citizens are properly informed about policy intentions and expected outcomes. The governor also credited President Tinubu with implementing bold reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria's economy for sustainable growth and development.
Governor Uzodimma highlighted the administration's achievements, including a reduction in rice prices from approximately N120,000 per bag two years ago to around N50,000 currently. He also mentioned that over one million students are benefiting from the National Education Loan Fund programme, which has improved access to tertiary education and reduced financial burdens on students and their families.
The governors of Kaduna and Gombe states, Uba Sani and Inuwa Yahaya, respectively, reiterated the need for stronger amplification of the administration's achievements at the subnational level. They emphasized the importance of tailoring communication strategies to local realities to ensure policies resonate with grassroots communities.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors network's efforts to promote the President's agenda at the grassroots level are a clear indication of the ruling party's commitment to engaging with citizens and addressing their concerns.
