Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has said he will not get involved in the renewed conflict between actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham. His statement followed a public snub at Iyabo Ojo's movie premiere on Sunday, where Akindele reportedly ignored Abraham. The incident occurred eight months after the two had reconciled from a long-standing feud. Ogogo made his position known in an interview with Feel Right TV, where he described women's disputes as too complex for intervention. "Women's fights are too complicated to get involved in," he said.
He criticized both actresses for not showing more gratitude for their success, calling it unwise to meddle in such matters. "I don't interfere in women's disputes. Both of them are blessed by God. So, why are they fighting?" Ogogo asked. He contrasted the way men and women handle disagreements, claiming men would laugh off such issues. His remarks came a day after veteran actress Saje claimed she had mediated peace between the duo and urged them to keep their issues off social media.
Ogogo's refusal to engage isn't about neutrality—it's an admission that celebrity feuds in Nollywood have become performance. When Saje steps in as peacekeeper and actors treat reconciliation like a press release, the drama overshadows the work. This cycle means fans get spectacle instead of cinema. For Nigerian audiences, it signals that brand management now matters more than artistry.
