Adedeji Olajide, a Reps member and Peoples Democratic Party aspirant for Oyo State governor in 2027, has revealed his ambition to serve the people as the driving force behind his bid. As a trained computer science expert, he believes his background gives him an edge in driving innovation and modern governance in the state. The aspirant stressed that sustaining and improving upon the developmental roadmap implemented by Governor Seyi Makinde's administration is crucial for the state's growth and stability.
Olajide prioritized strengthening the state's security architecture, emphasizing the need to advance efforts toward state policing for a more coordinated and effective response to security challenges. He also pledged to consolidate the achievements of the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, by improving its operations and expanding its capacity.
In the area of education, Olajide promised to maintain globally accepted standards to ensure quality learning across the state. He emphasized that education is a key driver of development and must be given priority attention. The aspirant also revealed plans to create investment opportunities through agribusiness and establish multiple free trade zones to attract investors.
