Several people have lost their lives in a brutal attack on the Kautikari community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. The incident occurred on Monday, March 30, 2026, and has left a trail of devastation in its wake. According to eyewitnesses, the attack was carried out by suspected Boko Haram fighters.
A member of the community, Daniel Dauda Nyadar, has confirmed the incident and revealed that one of the victims was set to get married just a day after the attack. The planned wedding has now been turned into a funeral, a stark contrast to the joyous occasion it was meant to be.
The death toll from the attack is currently at six, but it is feared that it may exceed ten. A gallant vigilante commander was also killed during the attack, as revealed by a Facebook user, Junaid Jibril.
