Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has unveiled a policy framework called IGBEGA OYO Omituntun 3.0 Roadmap during a political meeting in Ogbomoso. The event, held on Saturday, brought together PDP leaders and members from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas. It was hosted by Dr. Saka Balogun, Chairman of the Oyo State Elders Council, and other party figures in the zone. Ogundoyin described his governance vision as people-oriented, centred on the principle of "Oyo first, Oyo always," and pledged inclusive growth and responsive policies if elected governor in 2027. He stated that every programme under his leadership would reflect the needs of citizens across all communities. The IGBEGA OYO 3.0 plan outlines strategies for economic development, infrastructure expansion, and social advancement in the state. Dr. Balogun praised Ogundoyin as humble and administratively capable, drawing parallels between him and his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, whom he described as a thoroughbred politician and philanthropist. Earlier, former Commissioner for Information and Culture Hon. Moses Ojoawo, ex-National Assembly member Hon. Yemi Taiwo, and former Commissioner for Environment Majekodunmi Aborode endorsed Ogundoyin's 2027 ambition, urging unity and early stakeholder engagement within the PDP.
Ogundoyin's rollout of a detailed roadmap before the election cycle even begins shifts the game from personality to policy—at least on paper. With figures like Saka Balogun and seasoned PDP elders already aligned, his late father's legacy is being actively converted into political capital. This level of organisation and elite backing suggests he may enter the 2027 race with structural advantages most aspirants lack. For voters, the real test will be whether IGBEGA OYO 3.0 evolves from a campaign document into a deliverable promise.
