Anambra State First Lady Nonye Soludo has urged Christians to embody the teachings of Jesus Christ by embracing forgiveness and fostering peace in their communities. In a Good Friday statement released on Friday, she called the crucifixion of Christ a defining act of sacrifice that brought redemption, love, and salvation. She described the day as one of reflection and spiritual renewal, urging believers to mirror Christ's example through kindness and reconciliation. "Today, our saviour, Jesus Christ, is persecuted and crucified for our transgressions. But we have been saved and granted absolution by God's greatest sacrifice of death on the cross of Calvary," she said. Soludo, founder of the NGO Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, extended warm Easter greetings, praying for divine grace, peace, and unity across families, Anambra State, and Nigeria. She encouraged Christians to welcome the resurrection with hearts rooted in love and forgiveness, saying, "Celebrate this holy day with kindness and forgiveness."
