The officials claimed the plot was aimed at undermining ongoing initiatives and damaging the credibility of the leadership in Ogun. No specific incidents of disruption were cited, but the letter warned of "emerging threats" to unity and called for prompt intervention at the national level. The Ogun chapter affirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order within its ranks.
