Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, a military operation in the North-East, have eliminated over 100 terrorists in the first quarter of 2026. The notable casualties include a notorious commander of the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP.
According to Defence Media Operations Director Maj.-Gen. Michael Onoja, the operation was carried out in various locations. Onoja made the disclosure at a news conference on military operations in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Defence Headquarters has confirmed the elimination of the terrorists, adding to the ongoing efforts to curb terrorism in the region.
