Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently awaiting clearance for 55 ambassadors-designate, who were posted by President Bola Tinubu in March. The ministry has received approval from 10 countries, leaving the remaining 55 ambassadors-designate without diplomatic clearance.
According to Kimibie Ebienfa, the ministry's spokesperson, responses are still being awaited from the countries concerned. This development comes as the country looks to strengthen its diplomatic ties with other nations.
The posting of the 65 ambassadors-designate by President Tinubu in March was seen as a major move to revamp Nigeria's foreign policy.
