Natasha warns Nigerians against fraudulent video using her image
**Natasha Warns Nigerians Against Fake Video Promoting Investment Scam**
In a recent alert, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has cautioned Nigerians to be wary of a manipulated video circulating online that falsely makes her endorse an investment scheme. The alleged endorsement, which appears to carry her voice and image, has been revealed to be completely fabricated by fraudsters.
According to the Kogi Central lawmaker, the viral clip is a doctored version of an interview she granted to Seun Okinbaloye on television. Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has advised Nigerians not to fall for the scam and has urged them to ignore the clip.
"We need to be cautious of online schemes that promise quick financial gains," she said in a statement released on her official social media page. "This fake video is a clear example of how scammers are working to deceive innocent Nigerians."
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has also encouraged Nigerians to report accounts or platforms sharing the video to help stop its further spread. She has called on authorities and social media platforms to take action against those responsible for the fraudulent content.
This incident highlights the growing concern of online scams in Nigeria, where unsuspecting citizens are often lured into investing in fake schemes that promise unrealistic returns. With the rise of social media, it's become easier for scammers to spread their fake content and reach a wider audience.
As we navigate the digital age, it's essential for us to remain vigilant and cautious of online opportunities that seem too good to be true. Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's warning serves as a reminder to always verify information before making any investment decisions or sharing it with others.
In line with this, the senator has advised Nigerians to report any suspicious online activity to the relevant authorities, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Police Force.
