Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has spoken about the struggle of promoting her movie, Efunroye, following her mother’s death. On her Instagram page, Faithia said, despite being on set, shooting her movie promotion, her heart is still heavy from saying goodbye to her mother. She described the past weeks as deeply emotional for her and her family, and appreciated the public’s support during the difficult time. The ex-wife of Saidi revealed that though her mother had a peaceful burial, they have decided to shift the major celebration of her life and legacy to next year so that they can honour her properly. On Saturday, March 7th, the actress’s mother was finally laid to rest on Saturday, March 7th, with a few of her colleagues in attendance. Grieving the loss of her mother, the Yoruba actress shared a dark photo, stating that her world is dark and broken. Williams had shared a heartbreaking video of her mother’s birthday wish to her before her untimely passing. The ex-wife of Saidi noted how it had been 8 days since she left the world without talking to her. She stated that she was still shattered and broken. Making her first post after the burial, she shared a clip from her mother’s burial, noting how her beloved mother has finally gone to rest. The movie star bade her mother farewell, telling her to rest well. In April 2024, Faithia lost her father to death. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, as she expressed sadness over his death and prayed that his soul rest in peace. A week later, the movie star had laid him to rest according to Islamic culture, with some of her colleagues in attendance and had penned an appreciation note to the public.
