Plateau Governor Bello Suleiman has announced a reinforcement of the ban on motorcycle operations in the state following a recent attack in Jos.

The ban, which was initially put in place to curb insecurity, has been extended to cover the entire state, with Governor Suleiman citing the need to prevent further attacks. He addressed the people of Plateau in a statement, expressing his sorrow over the incident and stating that the ban is aimed at protecting the lives of citizens.

The governor's statement read: "It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that I address you today, not only as your governor, but as your son and brother who shares in your anguish following the tragic incident at Angwan-Rukuba."

The ban is expected to affect thousands of motorcyclists who rely on the business for their livelihood.
