Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has expressed admiration for the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure during an appearance on The Morayo Show. She revealed she is drawn to the aesthetic results, particularly the combination of a flat stomach and sculpted curves achieved through liposuction and BBL. Despite her desire to undergo the surgery, Akindele admitted she cannot tolerate pain, which stops her from going through with it. She voiced support for women who choose cosmetic enhancements, urging them to proceed without excess. "I love to see beautiful women with beautiful bodies. I actually like BBL, the skinny ones not the big ones. I love the flat tummy and liposuction. I want to do it but I don't have the mind. I am not against BBL. If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead but don't overdo things. Be careful," she said. Akindele also touched on the personal cost of staying at the top of her career, describing the loneliness that comes with discipline and guarded living. "It is actually lonely at the top because if you want to remain at the top, you have to be guarded and disciplined. It is going to be very boring because you won't have friends," she added.
Funke Akindele wanting a BBL but backing out over pain tolerance turns celebrity body talk into something relatable. Her admission underscores how even those with means weigh physical risk against beauty ideals. For many Nigerian women navigating societal pressures and rising cosmetic trends, her hesitation offers a rare glimpse into the conflict behind the glamour. This isn't about surgery—it's about the price, visible or not, that women consider before transformation.
