The federal government has launched a nationwide registration process for a free training program aimed at equipping 10 million Nigerians with financial inclusion and literacy skills. The training is a flagship initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and it is expected to have a global impact. The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, launched the registration exercise during a virtual meeting with development partners, including the World Bank, African Union, and the Economic Community of West African States. He expressed confidence that the initiative will not only impact Nigerians but also transform into a global impact emanating from Nigeria.
The training program is designed to equip Nigerians with essential financial skills, investment knowledge, and digital competencies for sustainable wealth creation. It will cover areas such as digital literacy, financial literacy, economic literacy, and business and entrepreneurship skills.
