The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) will stage the second edition of the Nigeria Broadcasting Awards (TNBA) on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, from 6pm to 9pm. The event, endorsed during BON's 74th General Assembly in Kano in 2021, celebrates excellence in radio and television broadcasting across Nigeria. A total of 204 entries were submitted for the 2026 awards, reflecting performances from 2024, and judged by a panel chaired by Danladi Bako, with members from the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria and the National Broadcasting Commission. Winners will be named in 24 categories, including Radio and Television Station of the Year, Best Reporter, Best Newscaster, and Best Producer.

The ceremony will also honour individuals for lifetime contributions to broadcasting. Recipients include Shyngle Wigwe, Yemi Farounbi, John Momoh, Abubakar Jijiwa, Sa'a Ibrahim, and Bimbo Oloyede. Posthumous recognitions will be given to Raymond Dokpesi and Anike Agbaje-Williams. Public officials such as Information Minister Mohammed Idris, Cross River Governor Bassey Edet Otu, Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal, and Kaduna Governor Uba Sani will be acknowledged for supporting the media. Corporate honourees include DAAR Communications Plc, MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, Desmins Broadcasting (DITV), and Voice of Nigeria. The event will include a tribute to deceased industry veterans.
