The Portugal-born forward, who has spoken of feeling at home at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, delivered an inspired performance, overpowering Chelsea's defence and capitalising on errors from goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, as Everton outclassed a disjointed Chelsea side.
Beto opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a first-time finish from James Garner's incisive through ball, giving Everton a deserved lead heading into the break.
He doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute with a shot on the turn that slipped through Sánchez, compounding the goalkeeper's difficult outing.
