Stone Rockers Limited, an Abuja-based company, is suing the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for N5 billion over the alleged illegal shutdown of its quarry operations. The suit, filed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Olalekan Ojo, names the NSCDC, its Commandant General, and one Attah John Onoja as defendants. The company claims its quarry site at Plot FL-109 Cadastral Zone, Gaube Farmland Layout, Barmishi Village, Kuje Area Council, was sealed on July 24, 2025, without a court order. The site operates under Quarry Lease No. 37326, which the plaintiff says validates its legal right to operate.

The company alleges that NSCDC operatives seized equipment on August 16, 2025, without legal authority. It argues the actions were arbitrary and violated its constitutional right to conduct business. Stone Rockers is seeking court declarations that the shutdown and confiscation were illegal, alongside N5 billion in damages. The company also wants all seized equipment returned and a court order preventing further interference. The case has been assigned to Justice Mohammed Garuba Umar, with a hearing date set for May 19, 2026.
