‘A tale of two shameless friends’ – Dele Momodu blasts Omokri, Fani-Kayode
**Dele Momodu Fires Back at Omokri and Fani-Kayode: 'Perpetual Agents of Perfidy'**
Prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Dele Momodu, has unleashed a scathing attack on Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode, labeling them as "perpetual agents of perfidy" without credibility. This outburst came in response to separate criticisms by the duo over Momodu's comments on the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Momodu initially chose to ignore the attacks, but decided to respond to avoid being intimidated into silence. He described Omokri and Fani-Kayode as individuals who have no qualms about speaking ill of others, recalling the damaging comments they made about Tinubu in the past, which they cannot erase.
The publisher of Ovation Magazine flatly denied allegations that he made baseless claims against the President, stating that he has never disparaged Tinubu or called him a murderer. Momodu clarified that his only criticism of Tinubu is his alleged authoritarian tendencies, which he believes are reminiscent of Nigeria's dark history of military rule.
Momodu also revealed that he initially toned down his criticism of Tinubu out of respect for elder statesmen and past associations. However, he expressed surprise that Omokri and Fani-Kayode continue to harass people on behalf of Tinubu, whom they have permanently damaged.
What's even more intriguing is that Momodu alleged that both Omokri and Fani-Kayode had privately reached out to him for support or reconciliation despite publicly attacking him. This contradiction has left many questioning the true intentions of these two individuals.
The exchange between Momodu, Omokri, and Fani-Kayode has sparked a heated debate among Nigerian citizens, with many weighing in on the merits of Momodu's criticism of Tinubu's administration. As Nigerians continue to navigate the complexities of politics, one thing is clear: the battle for truth and credibility is ongoing, and individuals like Momodu are not afraid to speak out against perceived injustices.
