Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State joined other prominent Nigerians, including former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, at the National Mosque in Abuja for the funeral prayer of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of Nasir El-Rufai. The National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, also attended the Janazah prayer for Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
The El-Rufai family had announced the burial of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai in Abuja on Sunday, with the funeral prayer scheduled to take place at the National Mosque at 1 pm. Following the prayer, her corpse was conveyed to Gudu Cemetery for burial, in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
The family released a statement expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and condolences during their time of grief. They also prayed for the late Hajiya Umma's soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her the highest place in Aljannatul Firdaus.
