Tubi Inks Creator Development Deal With TikTok
**Tubi and TikTok Partner to Develop Creator-Led Content**
Tubi, a free ad-supported streaming platform owned by Fox Corp., has announced a significant partnership with TikTok to develop creator-led content. The deal marks a major step in Tubi's efforts to double down on creator-led content, with a focus on providing a pathway for selected creators on TikTok to develop their own shows for the platform.
The partnership will see TikTok and Tubi collaborate to identify and select creators for an incubator program. An initial cohort of creators will be invited to participate in the program this summer, with the goal of developing both scripted and unscripted shows exclusively for Tubi. TikTok will leverage its Spotlight program to drive its users to the platform and promote the new content.
Rich Bloom, General Manager of creator programs and Executive Vice President of business development at Tubi, emphasized the significance of the partnership. "Tubi is doubling down on giving creators a real bridge from digital platforms to premium long-form storytelling," he said. "TikTok has become one of the most powerful engines for discovering creative voices and building passionate communities at scale. This partnership allows us to work with successful TikTok creators who are ready to take the next step creatively, expanding their fandoms to new audiences on Tubi and bringing Tubi fans more stories they can't find anywhere else."
The partnership is part of a broader strategy by Tubi to invest in creator-led content. The company has already inked licensing deals with popular creators such as MrBeast, Alan's Universe, Jomboy Media, and CelinaSpookyBoo, and has recently picked up original creator-led slates and feature films. This partnership with TikTok is expected to further expand Tubi's offerings and provide new opportunities for creators to develop their skills in longer-form content.
Dawn Yang, Global Head of Entertainment Partnerships at TikTok, highlighted the company's commitment to empowering creators on its platform. "TikTok is committed to empowering creators on our platform and throughout their career journey," she said. "Our creators have built deeply engaged audiences on TikTok, and our partnership with Tubi will give the next generation of entertainers more opportunities to expand their audiences, tell bigger stories, and turn their creativity into lasting impact."
