Galatasaray gives update on Victor Osimhen’s injury

Galatasary have given an injury update on Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen following their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool.
The Turkish giants suffered a huge setback during the encounter after Victor Osimhen picked up an injury that has now been diagnosed as a fracture. He sustained the injury early in the match but was keen to continue the game as he wanted to continue playing despite visible discomfort.
However, the pain eventually became unbearable, forcing him to be substituted at halftime as Galatasaray struggled to cope without their talismanic attacker.
The club’s manager Okan Buruk confirmed the severity of the situation and admitted the striker had been battling through pain before coming off.
He said,
"Osimhen is in pain we tried to keep him on the pitch, but his pain increased" He also highlighted the player’s commitment and the difficult decision to withdraw him.
Galatasary medical team ater confirmed that the forward suffered a forearm fracture, with the club now monitoring his condition closely. A final decision regarding whether surgery will be required is still pending, leaving uncertainty over the length of his absence.
The injury comes as a significant blow for Galatasaray at a crucial stage of the season, with Osimhen playing a key role in their domestic and European campaigns.
However, the fans will now anxiously await further updates, hoping the striker can make a swift recovery and return to action before the end of the 2025/26 season.
