💡 NaijaBuzz Take

The brazen attack by ISWAP terrorists on a military base in Borno State is a stark reminder of the ongoing security challenges in the North East region. The swift response by troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) is a testament to their gallantry and resilience. However, the high number of terrorists involved in the attack raises concerns about the sophistication of the group. The fact that the terrorists were able to launch a multi-front attack on a military base is a worrying trend that needs to be addressed. The Nigerian military must continue to strengthen its operational tempo to prevent such attacks and protect the lives of innocent civilians in the region.
