The LOGIC Church will host the second edition of its "Jesus + Nothing" Worship on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, at The LOGIC Centre in Lekki, Lagos. The event will feature gospel artists Timi Dakolo and Nosa Omorogie, alongside Emmanuel Smith, Gerald Bishung, MagPsalms, Mera Owili, Steve Hills, Pastor Victor Paul, Uche Okereke, and Yinka Erinle. Designed to center on Christ's finished work, the gathering aims to communicate the Gospel through worship music. It follows the 2025 debut, which the church said led to the conversion of several attendees, including five people who had never attended church before.
Lead Pastor Flourish Peters stated the church is intentional about preserving the purity of the Gospel in every form of expression. "We are intentional about preserving the purity of the Gospel in every expression. 'Jesus + Nothing' is a reminder that Christ is enough—and that this message must not only be preached but also sung," Peters said. He highlighted that the event is meant to underscore the significance of Easter as the foundation of Christian faith. The worship experience will precede the "Jesus + Nothing" Conference, set for May 28 to June 1, 2026, expected to draw attendees from Nigeria and other countries.
Flourish Peters is framing worship as theology in song, not just performance, by anchoring The LOGIC Church's event in the doctrine of sufficiency in Christ. With Timi Dakolo and Nosa headlining, the church is leveraging cultural reach to reinforce a theological point—Easter isn't just a date on the calendar but a doctrinal cornerstone. For Nigerian Christians, this blurs the line between concert and conviction, turning popular gospel music into a vehicle for doctrinal teaching. Whether it shifts spiritual engagement beyond the event remains to be seen.
