Benjamin Nworie, a THISDAY Newspapers reporter and former state Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), was brutally attacked in his Ugwuechara residence in Ebonyi State. The assault, allegedly carried out by three suspected thugs loyal to Mrs. Peace Agwu, the Chairman of Ishielu Local Government Area, occurred at the early hours of the previous day.
