The Igbo should redeem their identity Sir: Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB is inherently a group born out of an ideology that the Igbo are marginalized. The basis of the association is to claim independence for Biafra. The misconception begins by defining who the Biafran is. Their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, says that he is not an Igbo but rather a Jew. Yet, Biafra is associated with the Igbo from the Southeast who fought for their separation from Nigeria during the civil war.
