President Bola Tinubu toured Ogun State over the weekend, commissioning key infrastructure projects and drawing attention to developmental strides in the region. The visit, centered in Abeokuta, was marked by large crowds and celebratory displays along the routes. Tinubu inaugurated several projects including the Ogun River Bridge and the Abeokuta Industrial Park, both funded under the federal government's infrastructure renewal programme. Speaking at the event, Tinubu said, "This is a clear demonstration of what focused governance can achieve when states and the federal government work in synergy." The state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, highlighted that over 10,000 jobs have been created through the industrial park initiative alone. Federal funding allocated to Ogun State for road rehabilitation and power access has totalled ₦120 billion since 2023. The president's itinerary also included a brief tour of the newly expanded Abeokuta General Hospital, where he praised contractors for meeting project deadlines.
