Samsung has unveiled its two latest mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A57 and A37. These new devices boast improved features, including enhanced water-resistance and AI capabilities. However, the significant upgrades are reserved for the Galaxy A57, which now has a sleeker design, measuring just 6.9mm in thickness, making it noticeably thinner than its competitors. This redesign has been achieved without compromising on the phone's durability, retaining the Gorilla Glass Victus+ body and metal frame. As a result, the Galaxy A57 feels slim and premium, despite not being a flagship device.
The Galaxy A57's enhanced features also include a slimmer bezel around the display, contributing to its premium aesthetic. It now boasts IP68 water-resistance, a significant upgrade from the IP67 rating of last year's A56. In contrast, the Galaxy A37, the cheaper option, has not undergone the same level of redesign, retaining a thicker bezel and a plastic frame. The Galaxy A37 does, however, feature a new Exynos 1480 chipset and a 50-megapixel primary camera.
The Galaxy A57 will be available in the US for $549.99, while the Galaxy A37 will be priced at $449.99. The Galaxy A57 will be available in navy blue, gray, light blue, and lilac colors, while the Galaxy A37 will be available in charcoal, gray-green, white, and lavender.
