Police in Kano State have confirmed the abduction of Alhaji Hamza Durya, the Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area.
Alhaji Durya was taken from his residence in Durya village, Kibiya Local Government Area, by armed men.
The Police Command in Kano State has mobilized its anti-kidnap squad, the area commander, and DPO to lead the rescue operation.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Bakori, has appealed to residents, particularly those in rural areas, to provide any credible information that could aid the rescue efforts.
The police are working to rescue Alhaji Hamza Durya safely.
