A legal dispute over the estate of former Oyo State Governor, Adebayo Alao-Akala, has brought to light an extensive portfolio of properties owned by the late politician across Nigeria and abroad.
The controversy stems from proceedings at an Oyo State High Court, where his first daughter, Oluwatoyin Alao Aderinto, is contesting the management of the estate.
In a suit marked I/443/2024, Aderinto is seeking judicial intervention over what she described as irregularities in the administration of her father's assets.
Named as defendants in the case are Oluwakemi Alao-Akala and Olamide Alabi, who are identified in court documents as executors and administrators of the estate.
