Kaduna Police Confirm Arrest of Suspect in Robbery Incident
A passerby was stabbed to death by phone thieves at Kawo Flyover in Kaduna, prompting a swift response from police operatives stationed under the bridge. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on March 28, near Mamu Oil, a few metres from the Kawo bridge. Details of the incident indicate that a gang of criminals attacked the victim in an attempt to steal his mobile phone. The victim was rushed to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
The police command in Kaduna State has confirmed the arrest of one Aminu Lawal, also known as "Aminu Yayyafi," who confessed to the crime. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang. The state Commissioner of Police has directed the area commander, Metropolitan, the Divisional Police Officer, and other tactical teams to intensify operations to track down the remaining suspects.
