The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State is facing internal turmoil after two rival state congresses were held on Saturday, each claiming legitimacy. One faction elected Emmanuel Famojuro as chairman, while the other named Femi Soluade for the same position. Both groups selected Olumide Onabajo as State Publicity Secretary, placing him at the center of the unfolding crisis. On Sunday, Onabajo issued a statement clarifying his position, expressing appreciation to both factions for recognizing his contributions to the party's visibility. However, he revealed that despite his efforts, particularly in the Ajuwon/Akute area of Ifo Local Government, key party figures including Hon. Ojerinde Olusola and Comrade Salau did not support him. After what he described as careful reflection and consultations, Onabajo announced his alignment with the Emmanuel Famojuro-led faction. He stated that the decision was driven by conviction and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the party's growth and stability. Onabajo emphasized that his sacrifices and commitment to the ADC are known to God and those familiar with his journey. He extended goodwill to all parties involved while affirming his new allegiance.
